Some, yes indeed.

I try responding here while a gas-powered leaf blower keeps blaring loudly across the street. An unintended metaphor. Who decided all lawns need to be manicured with this final insult to the surrounding environment? Is this progress, just because we can? When did mulching grass clippings become passe? When did rakes become obsolete? Wildflowers? . . .

I hope my metaphorical point doesn't seem too off topic. Doesn't the continuum of technology seem to be accelerating at an unquestioning velocity? How can we reconcile our toxic relationship to the world around us? AI seems the most seductive. . . .
